China as an Issue Vol.1

China as an Issue is a lecture series organized by the Inside-Out Art Museum since 2018. Under this topic, Chinese scholars  discuss with the international scholars about the issues related to China or the world, or international issues involving China. The publication China as an Issue Vol.1 published by Archive Books open access, spotlighting China's issues to the world. Let us look at Eurocentric epistemologies and cultural hegemony, the ambiguity of Chinese contemporary art history, what is Asia, how can we respond to the established definition of Asianness given by the westernness?

《中国作为问题》是由中间美术馆自二零一八年启的一个演讲系列。在这一课题下,中国学者和受邀的国际学者探讨中国或国际问题，或是涉及中国的国际性议题。本次英文版本通过柏林独立出版社Archive Books将中国问题抛向世界，反观西方中心主义与文化霸权，中国当代艺术历史的模糊性，何为亚洲，我们是否可以对西方给予的既定亚洲定义作出回应？
